A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has exceeded more than one million informational booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the news eu ukraine Truth About Drugs campaign, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.
Approximately hundreds of volunteers across the country are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on prevention through education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
